A stablemate of the selection, Raging Bull could provide the biggest threat. Although only seventh on his debut over course and distance, the half-brother to Guineas winner Precise shaped with plenty of promise on that occasion.

Third over a mile here on his debut last month, Cluster should be all the better for that initial experience. Trainer Joseph O’Brien continues to be amongst the winners and the Juddmonte-owned colt holds decent claims.

British trained sprinters have tended to have had the edge over the home team in recent years and Soul Love looks another for the visitors. A listed winner at Naas earlier in the season, the Karl Burke-trained filly again ran her race when runner-up at Group 3 level back at that same track last time.

Royal Bay Cen would come into calculations in a big way if rain arrived prior to the off. Although not ground dependent, the Johnny Murtagh-trained three-year-old seemed to really appreciate the soft underfoot conditions when scoring a facile win at Cork in May.

Despite having something to find on ratings, Lilli’s Angel shouldn’t be far away. Having failed to get competitive on her first two runs, the Danny McLoughlin-trained filly kept on well when fourth at Cork on her latest appearance.

Damsel In Distress can provide trainer Danny McLoughlin with further big-race success. Third in a similar grade at this venue last time, the daughter of Minzaal was only run out of second place close home. Dropping back a furlong in trip looks a wise move and she sets a decent standard.

An impressive debut winner at Gowran Park, the Johnny Murtagh-trained Curracloe has to be respected. Given that the stable runners tend to improve from their initial run, the Baaeed is a potentially very smart filly.

The Reverend holds decent claims following an encouraging run when fourth at Leopardstown at Irish Champions Festival. Staying on strongly inside the final furlong on that occasion, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding gave the impression that this stiffer test of stamina would bring about further improvement. Ascot Stakes third Tim Toe looks to have been kept fresh for this race. A thorough stayer, who also had the turn of foot to win over a mile at Listowel earlier in the season, the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding is a real contender under Ronan Whelan.

A hold-up horse that needs to be delivered late from off the pace, the Josh Halley-trained filly should get her optimum conditions here.

Possibly just outstayed late on, the Denis Hogan-trained filly will appreciate dropping back in trip. Dark Summit is an interesting contender on his stable debut for Paul Flynn. The booking of leading amateur John Gleeson suggests that connections are expecting a decent run from the four-year-old.
