1.25 William Hill Ireland Acca Freedom Irish EBF Maiden 5f

My Eyes Adore You, who made a very pleasing debut at Cork recently, should be good enough at the second time of asking. Fozzy Stack’s filly gave the impression that she would be all the better for that experience, staying on nicely close home once the penny dropped. While there has to be a slight negative about racing over the minimum trip, that debut run may just have sharpened her up. Neo Soul rates a live danger on his third start in maiden company. Fourth on his debut at Naas, he ran even better when returning to that track last time. Despite having to overcome a low draw he should be a leading contender.

SELECTION: MY EYES ADORE YOU

Brown Eagle may be vulnerable to one of the unraced newcomers but looks a solid each-way bet. A real eyecatcher when fourth over the course and distance last month, he stayed on nicely at Naas last time when dropped back a furlong. He isn’t short of pace but clearly stays this longer trip so has plenty to recommend him in a competitive heat. Temple Of Artemis looks to be the pick of the Ballydoyle newcomers purely on future entries. While his two stablemates hold no fancy entries going forward, this son of Galileo is in all the major juvenile Group 1 races later in the year.

SELECTION: BROWN EAGLE

2.30 Weld Park Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) 7f

Sunset Shiraz can give trainer Gavin Cromwell another juvenile group success, having run a huge race when third in the Moyglare last time. The daughter of Time Test had been second in Group 2 company prior to that, so will appreciate the class drop here. She certainly looks the filly they all have to beat on overall form.

Concert Hall was noted for making late headway when just behind the Cromwell filly here earlier in the month but if anything, she gave the impression she needed a mile. Perhaps if racing more prominently she can make this more of a stamina test which would suit.

SELECTION: SUNSET SHIRAZ

Ruling should be very hard to beat, dropping back into maiden company having already picked up blacktype. Following a very encouraging racecourse debut at Dundalk, he finished second in a strong Leopardstown maiden, before a close-up listed third. He was stepped up to group company last time but even allowing for that rise in class, his run was too bad to be true. This looks a golden opportunity to shed his maiden tag.

Rollet, a stablemate of the selection, can fill the runner-up spot. Second on his debut at Dundalk in July, he clearly failed to act around Roscommon when disappointing last time. While almost certainly nowhere near as classy as Ruling, he should show more on this third start.

SELECTION: RULING

3.35 Raa Atoll Loughbrown Stakes (Group 3) 2m

Search For A Song can get back to winning ways having disappointed in her bid for a third Irish St Leger earlier this month. Perhaps the race just wasn’t run to suit or she just needed the outing on her seasonal debut, but either way she is better than that bare result. Stamina is unlikely to be an issue either as she has already been second over two miles in a Group 2.

The Mediterranean, third in the St Leger at Doncaster, has the potential to become a leading Cup horse in the years ahead. However, at this stage of his career it may just be a bridge too far taking on a proven Group 1 stayer over this trip.

4.05 Tesoro Vita Ladies Trophy Handicap 1m4f

Moon Daisy can benefit from a great piece of placing to win this lady riders’ race. An impressive winner at Fairyhouse earlier in the week, the 7lbs she was raised for that win is offset by her excellent young apprentice’s claim here. A consistent horse throughout her career, she has stepped up a level since the blinkers were fitted. El Tren, though now in the veteran stage, always commands respect in these races. The 10-year-old shaped well on his recent comeback at Navan so should be sharper with that outing under his belt.

SELECTION: MOON DAISY

4.35 William Hill Ireland Joe McGrath Handicap 5f

Laugh A Minute can continue an excellent season for Ado McGuinness in this highly competitive sprint handicap. A listed winner off a 6lbs higher mark last season, he has yet to hit a peak in 2021, but recent indications suggest he isn’t far off. An ease in the ground will play to his strengths as he is undoubtedly better over further than the minimum trip.

Pretty Boy Floyd won twice at headquarters last season and went close when just denied here in August. All the headgear has been left off on this occasion so that bold move will either prove to be genius or foolish.

SELECTION: LAUGH A MINUTE

5.10 William Hill Ireland Pick Your Places Nursery Handicap 1m

Gabbys Girl had some strong form in decent maidens earlier in the season but her more recent efforts have been slightly below par. The booking of Colin Keane suggests that better is expected on her handicap debut so the hint should be taken. Moving back up to a mile will suit this filly who has looked a stayer on occasions.

Viareggio had a few of these rivals in rear when winning at Cork last time. She actually competes on better terms now once taking her rider’s claim into account, so must be a threat to all.
