This looks a nice opportunity to get her head in front.

Runner-up at this track on his introduction last month, Benown should be open to improvement. The form of that race received a boost when the third-placed horse scored at Listowel during the week.

Lewis Carroll can follow up his maiden win over course and distance. The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt has been off the track since that victory in March and his absence since then may have been due to quicker ground. With both the third and fourth placed horses winning subsequently, his maiden form looks strong.

Killashee Warrior, who ran a big race in a competitive handicap at Irish Champions Festival, looks a real threat. Having her first start since June, the daughter of Saxon Warrior is entitled to come on from that race.

Red Evolution can land this valuable prize for trainer Michael O’Callaghan. Runner-up in the Bold Lad here over six furlongs at Irish Champions Festival, the four-year-old had scored over this trip at Cork earlier in the season. Well drawn, the son of Mehmas has Reese Holohan taking off 7lb.

Cardiff By The Sea is a lightly raced three-year-old open to improvement. A Cork maiden winner in April, the Fozzy Stack-trained filly has been highly tried of late. Having been rated as high as 97 at one stage this season, she could be well handicapped off 83 here.

Jockey bookings suggest that Noble Exhibit could be the pick of the Ballydoyle trio. A promising third on his debut here in August, the Frankel colt took a significant step forward when landing his maiden by seven lengths at Punchestown earlier this month.

A highly-regarded son of Dubawi, Shakespeare is almost certainly better than he has shown to date. With an official rating of 101, he sets the standard in this company and it would be no surprise to see him take a step forward.

Runner-up at Gowran Park last time, City House can go a place better. Although yet to get his head in front for trainer Ado McGuinness, the gelding has run with credit on numerous occasions. Now 12lb lower than at the start of the campaign, the five-year-old gives the impression that he is well handicapped.

Mid division in a well contested handicap at Leopardstown on at Irish Champions Festival, Excellent Believe shouldn’t be far away. Making his stable debut on that occasion, the Stephen Thorne-trained gelding didn’t get a clear run and was value for finishing a bit closer.

Fourth in the Group 1 National Stakes over course and distance last time, Trean can land this valuable prize. A maiden winner at the Galway Festival in July, the Paddy Twomey-trained colt subsequently finished third at York. Despite the big field, he appears to hold solid claims.

With an official rating of 110, the Aidan O’Brien-trained Carry The Flag sets the standard. However, the son of No Nay Never has yet to race over this distance and needs to prove his stamina at the trip. If lasting home, he has to be a live contender under Wayne Lordan.

Off the track since making a very encouraging debut at this track in March, Kenough can score for Joseph O’Brien. Short of room when staying on inside the final furlong, the gelding should be suited to stepping up in trip on this second start. Given how much the stable runners tend to improve from their initial outing, he has to be a big player.

Runner-up on his first three starts, Almazann was unquestionably disappointing at Roscommon last time. However, it could be a mistake to write him off on the back of one poor effort and the first-time cheekpieces might see him in a better light now.

Together Now has been off the track since last October but may be capable of making a winning return. Runner-up at this track on her debut, the form of that race has worked out exceptionally well in the interim. While her absence is an obvious cause for concern, the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly has the form to take this.

Goddess Of War shaped well enough on two starts to date to suggest that she can land her maiden. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly should be suited to stepping back up in trip now having run a race full of promise on her racecourse debut at Gowran Park on her penultimate start.
