2.15 Evoke.ie Irish EBF Maiden 7f

Jungle Cove is put forward with his previous experience giving him a notable edge in a race where most of his rivals are newcomers. This colt took a step forward on his first two efforts to finish a good third to Armory in a maiden over this course and distance on Irish Derby weekend.

That run would suggest that he should be up to making his mark in a maiden. He is preferred to a contingent of Ballydoyle runners which include Russian Emperor who is an own-brother to a winner out of the top-class Australian racemare Atlantic Jewel.

Agent Zero is a newcomer from a yard going very well with its juveniles and this son of Outstrip comes from a family that contains the likes of the Group 1-winning pair of Ticker Tape and Brando.

SELECTION: JUNGLE COVE

Next best: Agent Zero

2.50 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap 7f

Her last couple of runs have been over 1m2f but a chance is taken on Leagan Gaeilge. The lightly-raced filly won her maiden over a mile.

The form of her close third to Viadera and Lady Wannabe in a mile handicap here on Guineas weekend reads very well in light of that pair’s subsequent exploits at stakes level.

She is worth siding with over Crafty Madam who made the most of a significant weight concession from the subsequent Group 3 scorer Surrounding to land a premier handicap over this course and distance on Irish Derby weekend.

Waitingfortheday is respected and is weighted to reverse from with Black Magic Woman who beat her 1l in a handicap over this trip at Gowran last month.

SELECTION: LEAGAN GAEILGE

Next best: Crafty Madam

3.25 Tote Scurry Handicap 6f 63yds

Intisaab can make it back to back victories in this race. He has to carry his share of weight but is running off the same mark as when successful last year and despite his rating he remains a notable force in these quality sprint handicaps. Furthermore, his latest fourth to Gulliver at York was quite encouraging.

He is preferred to his compatriot Manshood who ran very well to finish a 1l second in last month’s Rockingham Handicap at this track.

That effort came over 5f but he has enough form at this distance to suggest that he should again be a major force.

Gustavus Weston has prospects of making his presence felt as does Buffer Zone despite being 8lbs higher in the weights for scoring by a short-head on his Irish debut over 6f here last month.

SELECTION: INTISAAB

Next best: Manshood

4.00 Jebel Ali Racecourse & Stables Anglesey Stakes (Group 3) 6f 63yds

This could fall to Lil Grey. She looked a smart type when winning a 6f maiden here early last month – a race from which the second and third have both won – and she stepped forward from that to run very creditably in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot where she was beaten just over 6l into sixth by Daahyeh. There is more to come from her.

An interesting rival is Mount Fuji. He was unable to get involved in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, but when he made a winning debut at Cork a couple of months ago he looked like one that would relish stepping up to this trip. He is worth another chance.

Also respected is Pistoletto who is unbeaten in two outings and overcame considerable adversity to land a conditions race at Naas two months ago.

SELECTION: LIL GREY

Next best: Mount Fuji

4.35 Paddy Power Minstrel Stakes (Group 2) 7f

Romanised can gain compensation for a luckless run at Royal Ascot where he still ran very well to be beaten less than 2l into fourth by Lord Glitters in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes.

Prior to that he showed up well to fill the same position in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes and the evidence of his last two runs is that last year’s Irish 2000 Guineas winner is at least as good as ever.

He won’t be troubled by any easing in the ground and one who would relish any notable rain is the much improved Safe Voyage.

A premier handicap winner over 7f at Galway last season, he is unbeaten in three starts at Haydock this year and he was a commanding winner of a Group 3 at that track last time.

Last year’s Poule d’Essai des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) second Hey Garman, the Greenlands Stakes hero Mr Lupton, and the evergreen Flight Risk are others with prospects in a strong edition of this race.

SELECTION: ROMANISED

Next best: Safe Voyage

5.45 Kildare Village Ladies Derby Handicap 1m 4f

This could fall to the improving Galeola who has certainly caught the eye with her recent progress.

She looked a filly on the up when scoring over 1m7f at Leopardstown last month and she confirmed that impression when dropping in distance to win over 1m4f at Tipperary when she had the subsequent winner Sharp Focus back in second.

Those wins have earned her a 19lb rise in the weights but she can progress again.

She gets the vote to see off the smart Royal Illusion who followed up a Leopardstown maiden win with a victory in a Bellewstown conditions race.

SELECTION: GALEOLA

Next Best: Royal Illusion

6.20 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden 1m

Bellakris has been running well enough to suggest that she can make her mark in maiden. She comes here off a 1½l to Simply Beautiful and that one has advertised the worth of that form by reaching the frame in a stakes race at Killarney this week.

The daughter of Scat Daddy has first-time cheekpieces to aid her cause and she can deal with Mia Maria whose only previous run saw her finish a respectable third to Pink Dogwood in a Gowran maiden last September.

Royal Highness is another to note following a pleasing debut second at Tipperary last month.

SELECTION: BELLAKRIS

Next best: Mia Maria
