2.05 TATTERSALLS IRELAND IRISH EBF MARES AUCTION MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Glebe Girl lacks the advantage of a previous run over hurdles but she has posted a series of solid placed efforts in bumpers and those runs would suggest that she could make her mark. She was beaten 18l into third by Masons Daughter at Listowel last time but the winner looked quite a smart sort that day and has gone on to run respectably in a quality bumper at Gowran Park. Butterhill Rose hasn’t run for 533 days but her yard is more than capable of producing horses in good shape off a lengthy layoff. She did also show promise when finishing in midfield in a Punchestown Festival bumper on her only previous outing.

Selection: GLEBE GIRL

Next Best: Butterhill Rose

There should be more to come from Moyross now that he steps up to this distance and he is taken to follow up last month’s maiden hurdle win at Galway. The six-year-old showed a decent level of form in bumpers before winning nicely on his return at Galway and the manner in which he finished out his race suggested that he would improve again over further. Arvico Bleu confirmed the promise of several decent efforts last season when he returned to action with a victory at Clonmel last month. His rider claims a useful 7lb and this placed point-to-pointer should cope with this longer trip. Minella Beau could relish this trip and is surely much better than he showed when beaten 20l by Morgan at Listowel.

Selection: MOYROSS

Next Best: Arvico Bleu

3.15 ATTHERACES.COM HANDICAP HURDLE (80-109) 2M

He’s Our Man hasn’t won over hurdles since 2012 but a couple of his recent runs suggest he will line up with a definite chance. He was beaten less than 2l into eighth in a Dundalk handicap last time while he was only 4¼l behind Mezajy in a 2m handicap hurdle at Bellewstown in August. He is preferred to Miracle Cure who progressed on a respectable third to Carlitos Bay at this track in August when coming out the wrong side of a three-way finish in a Tramore handicap won by Athloman Cottage several weeks later. Last month’s Ballinrobe winner Theatre Run is another to keep in mind as he looks to improve on a recent fifth to Fairymount Boy at Gowran.

3.50 COOPSUPERSTORES.IE HANDICAP CHASE (GRADE B) 2M 1F

A chance is taken on Nearly Nama’d. This nine-year-old hasn’t been at his best this year but he should be all the better for a relatively recent comeback run in a Killarney handicap chase in late August. Furthermore it was only a couple of seasons ago that he landed two valuable 2m handicap chases at Fairyhouse and if he still retains that level of ability he must be considered a major player. The smart Hurricane Ben bolted up in a decent 2m handicap chase at Fairyhouse over Easter. He wasn’t able to follow up off a 9lb higher mark at Punchestown but still acquitted himself well and he could be closely involved on his return. Jack The Wire is capable of improving on what he has shown over fences while Doctor Phoenix is a very interesting English recruit for his stable.

Selection: NEARLY NAMA’D

Next Best: Hurricane Ben

4.25 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF RATED NOVICE CHASE 2M 4F

Bilko has been somewhat frustrating to follow over fences but he is fitted with first-time cheekpieces which could aid his cause and his rider claims 7lb which leaves him well placed to build on some of his better efforts over fences. Last time out at Sligo he was disappointing but that run came on especially testing ground and prior to that he was in the process of running well in a decent handicap chase at Listowel only to come down at the last. He is good enough to win at this level and he is chosen ahead of Teacher’s Pet who was a smooth winner of a Roscommon handicap last time. There should be more to come from this mare but at the weights and on official ratings Bilko has a definite edge.

Selection: BILKO

5.00 ROCKMILLS LIMESTONE & TOM LYNES PLANT HIRE SUPPORTING THE RICKIE HEALY APPEAL HANDICAP HURDLE 2M 3F

Her quest for a hat-trick came up just short at Ballinrobe last month when she was touched off by Eiri Na Casca but the in-form Granny Biddy can bounce back with a victory here. Admittedly this mare has crept up 16lbs in the weights lately but she is in excellent heart, which is in stark contrast to some of these rivals, and her recent showings make her the one to beat. Hazariban showed signs that he could be returning to form when finishing fifth to Dysios in a Gowran Park handicap hurdle last month and he is 13lbs lower in the ratings than when he was last successful.

Selection: GRANNY BIDDY

5.30 CROSSMORE TYRE RECYCLING SUPPORTING THE RICKIE HEALY APPEAL (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M 3F

Secret Legacy looked a nice prospect in making a winning debut in a Tipperary bumper last week when he accounted for Caliption by 2¾l. The six-year-old now has to contend with a 7lb winner’s penalty but he can be expected to progress from that initial racecourse experience. He might have most to fear from Humm Baby who can improve on her second to Brahma Bull at Listowel. That run was her first for several months and she is now returning to a trip similar to the one she won over at Listowel in June when she accounted for a couple of smart subsequent winners.

Selection: SECRET LEGACY

Next Best: Humm Baby
