Not much form to go on here, with Ole Ole offering perhaps the best with his runner-up effort to an unbeaten hurdler at Punchestown. He raced keenly in what was a slowly-run race, but should settle better on his second start for the yard.
Manoir De Mirande is an interesting addition to the Gordon Elliott stable, having won his sole start in a flat race at Moulins in April, with the race producing two winners since. French flat recruit Kizylar was bought from the Aga Khan Studs for €110,000 after winning over a mile and six furlongs and appears to be Joseph O’Brien’s leading hope on jockey bookings.
SELECTION: OLE OLE

Happy Dreams returned last month to record his first win in almost two years and received 10lb for his 20-length rout at 28/1 in a handicap hurdle on heavy ground at Limerick - his fourth win at the track. Improved fitness is perhaps the only uplift to his chances of justifying the rise in the weights.
The in-form Rochestown also faces a stiff task off a career-high mark over hurdles, giving preference to the less-exposed horses in the field. Likealightswitch’s last run appeals alongside her mark and Shane O’Callaghan’s claim, plus she is bred to appreciate this step up in trip.
A drop back in trip should help the chances of River Vale, as will Andrew Burke-Ott’s 7lb claim. Luck Between Us didn’t seem to stay two miles and six furlongs last time out and may be worth a look as he drops back in trip on handicap debut, having finished in the first four on his three other starts over hurdles.
Johny Carol is another to consider on handicap debut, having run his best race yet on his seasonal return at Punchestown. Twelve-year-old Halsafari wasn’t crucified for his last win and has previously won over this trip.
SELECTION: LIKEALIGHTSWITCH

Dani Donadoni won a Limerick bumper in good style on debut before finishing fourth in a hot Punchestown bumper. Willie Mullins’ Order Of St George gelding is Paul Townend’s choice over three-time runner-up Mahon Falls
At €50,000, Lord Rouge isn’t Robcour’s typical point-to-point purchase, but the horse he finished second to, Heldam, is reportedly well-regarded. Time Is A Thief also claimed runner-up honours on his sole start between the flags, when he was headed close home at Belclare and subsequently sold for £130,000.
Lisronagh maiden winner Ballindenisk was disappointing on rules debut in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival but shouldn’t be ruled out here, especially given John Murphy’s smart start between the flags this season.
Harty Cup and Ifallgoeswell have shown promise and been well-supported in the past, so any market moves will be informative. Point-to-point second and €80,000 foal buy Lucky Crystal are also worth keeping an eye on.
SELECTION: DANI DONADONI
Next best: Lord Rouge

The weakest of the two divisions will gain interest if reserve Kazansky gets in. He looked set to finish a respectable second to a well-regarded stablemate on his rules debut, but was hampered by that rival and unseated after the final flight.
Le Labo is another seeking redemption after a first-flight fall on his hurdle bow and disappointing effort in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree, when he was sent off second favourite. The popularity in the market the last twice suggests he’s shown enough at home to go close here.
Henry de Bromhead has won three of the last four runnings of this race. His sole representative in this division, Splendid Fellow, has been disappointing and relies on a first-time tonguestrap to work its magic.
SELECTION: KAZANSKY

There is no question that Kargese is by far the classiest of these over hurdles, with the lack of any experience over fences the only negative for Willie Mullins’ dual Grade 1 winner. She has presumably schooled well over fences at home if connections are confident enough to start her back in a Grade 2.
Stablemate Jalila Moriviere eased 24 lengths clear on her chasing debut in October. She jumped right on that occasion and, while the nature of Sligo didn’t help her cause.
Kala Conti appears to be a safer bet for runner-up honours given her jumping and the competition she faced on her own start over fences. Two weeks ago, Gordon Elliott’s mare won a mares’ beginners’ chase over two miles and five furlongs in good style here, with Jade De Grugy back in third, and should prove better dropping back in trip, considering she won a Grade 2 hurdle over two miles.
Break My Soul’s winning chase debut earned her a place in this company, especially after runner-up Qualimita went on to finish third against geldings in a Grade 2. Once-raced French import Tahaa could be anything.
SELECTION: KARGESE

Kalypso’chance recovered from a disappointing effort on his hurdle bow, when found to be clinically abnormal, to win the Monksfield Novice Hurdle last time out. With some no-shows from his prime rivals, it isn’t the easiest form to judge, and certainly didn’t rate as highly as the last two winners, The Yellow Clay and Croke Park.
He carries a 6lb penalty for that Grade 3 success, and while only five have been declared for this, it’s worth looking elsewhere, particularly at the mares benefiting from an allowance.
Divaboriva entered the notebook when runner-up to a smart type here last month and bumped into another good one - Triumph Hurdle fifth Place De La Nation - next time out.
Racing over two miles and six furlongs that day, she rallied gamely to be beaten a length and a half and finished 15 lengths clear of the remainder.
She is worth a chance, as is Good Girl Kathleen following her second-placed effort in a listed novice hurdle over course and distance last month. Quantum Quest’s experience should stand to him but his best form is on drier ground.
SELECTION: DIVABORIVA

A fantastic line-up for the feature, as top novice chaser Majborough takes on the evergreen Energumene, who bids for his fourth win in the race. Once you don’t have a dodgy ticker, the young gun looks the better bet, with the hope that he returns a wiser jumper after a summer’s break.
Few could begrudge the 11-year-old Energumene another win, but he’s still difficult to side with due to how he jumped right here last year. It didn’t help Banbridge, who was delivering a strong challenge when unseating at the last.
A step up to three miles next time brought out the best in Joseph O’Brien’s charge in the King George VI Chase, but that may have left its mark as he was hugely disappointing after that. He also had the benefit of a recent run before last year’s challenge, which he lacks today.
Found A Fifty, in contrast, has the benefit of two runs this season, including when winning the Fortria Chase last time. A dual Grade 1 winner as a novice, with four Grade 2s under his belt since, he deserves plenty of respect.
SELECTION: MAJBOROUGH
Next best: Found A Fifty

Very lightly-raced nine-year-old Doyen Wolf shaped well on handicap debut in October, keeping on well close home over this trip at Sligo, which was his fifth career start and first in a tonguestrap. Shane O’Callaghan’s claim will help his chances today, too.
Classy Cc took a step forward on her second start of the season, finishing third, and could progress further over this trip, given her pedigree. Backinabit’s encouraging stable debut in September saw him sent off favourite last time out, but pulled up that day and needs to bounce back.
Midweek Voices, twice successful over fences early this year, previously placed over hurdles but may need the run on his first start since March. Theanniversary Man comes here off the back of a win but may be better over two miles.
SELECTION: DOYEN WOLF
Next best: Classy Cc
