Maestro Des Pins can make a winning debut for Willie Mullins. Victorious at Lignieres last November on his only previous start, the former French-trained gelding is completely unexposed and is in the right hands to progress as a hurdler. Manoir De Mirande can give owners Gigginstown a 1-2. Also a winner in France, Gordon Elliott’s charge has plenty of jumping experience, having been placed on his last four starts.

Lightly raced over jumps, Clonmel winner Blue Train is taken to follow up. Twice successful on the flat, the four-year-old improved on his initial runs over hurdles when getting off the mark last time. There should be more to come. Limerick maiden winner Shirzan is unexposed and should have room for improvement. In receipt of weight from rivals, the filly can make her presence felt.
SELECTION: BLUE TRAIN
Next best: Shirzan

Local trainer Jonathan Sweeney can land this with Divaboriva. A former bumper winner, the seven-year-old has been slightly disappointing over flights, but has acquired plenty of experience and the form of her Thurles second was well advertised. Tipp bumper winner La Cote Fleurie looks the obvious threat on hurdling debut. Henry de Bromhead’s mare scored nicely and is open to progression.
SELECTION: DIVABORIVA

Runner-up here when last seen back in November, Eastmore can make a winning reappearance. Still well handicapped over hurdles relative to his flat form, the Charles Byrnes-trained gelding requires decent ground to perform at his best. Galavanting George was sent off favourite when falling at Bellewstown recently. Although beaten at the time, he was running a decent race and had solid placed form prior to that. He looks the main danger.
SELECTION: EASTMORE

Seventh in a far stronger contest at the Punchestown festival, Moylussa can win for trainer Maike Magnussen. In fact, only for meeting some trouble in running late on, the seven-year-old might have finished a couple of lengths closer. A winner over fences here in January, Way Down South has solid claims back over hurdles. Runner-up in a handicap hurdle at Limerick last month, Gillian Scott’s gelding is coming into form at the right time.
SELECTION: MOYLUSSA

A winner of his bumper here last April, Doctor Du Mesnil can belatedly open his account over hurdles. Runner-up on his first two hurdle starts, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding was pulled up at Cheltenham last time. Back in these calmer waters, he should have enough to score. Doctor Elvis could represent the biggest threat. Gordon Elliott’s seven-year-old has been placed on three occasions over flights and has plenty of racing experience for a race of this nature.
SELECTION: DOCTOR DU MESNIL
Next best: Doctor Elvis

Down Royal winner Only For Our Man can follow up for trainer Paul Nolan. Raised 7lb for a comfortable victory, rider Alan O’Sullivan is able to offset 2lb from that burden. Having improved for stepping up in trip last time, the former point-to-point winner can progress again. The Philip Rothwell-trained Mistyburn shouldn’t be far away. Although somewhat fortunate to score on that occasion, the gelding was staying on well when left in the lead and a 5lb rise isn’t overly harsh.
SELECTION: ONLY FOR OUR MAN

A half-sister to a Grade 3 winner over hurdles, Aine can strike on debut. With those that have already run looking vulnerable to a newcomer, it is difficult to get away from the Willie Mullins runner.
Trainer Sam Curling is well able to ready a debutant, so any market support for Green Me Granny should be noted. The stable was on the mark with a similar type at Leopardstown earlier in the year and know exactly what they have.
