11.45 Galtee 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle 2m
Autumn Evening makes plenty of appeal on his hurdles debut and can go close. His third at Navan over one mile and six furlongs bodes well which suggests the step-up to two miles for the first time shouldn’t be an issue.
The only question mark will be his jumping, but he is race fit after finishing third at the Curragh last month and that should count for plenty.
Curious Bride knows her way around Cork after winning a mile-and-a-half handicap in September. She should come on from her first try at two miles at Dundalk last week and represents Noel Meade, who had a winner in this division last week.
SELECTION: AUTUMN EVENING

12.20 Charleville Cheese Maiden Hurdle (Div I) 2m
Joseph Conrad shaped well on his track debut and should go better now. He looked like the winner all over of a Punchestown bumper before getting tired late and finishing third. That will have brought him on.
Castle Town House is interesting. The son of Getaway was third in a point-to-point last month and makes his racecourse debut. Jonathon Moore takes the ride for Michael McDonagh’s charge and they could make an impact.
SELECTION: JOSEPH CONRAD
Next best: Castle Town House
12.52 Charleville Cheese Maiden Hurdle (Div II) 2m
The form book is with Master McShee, whose two-and-a-half length second behind Appreciate It over course and distance is the standout performance. He outran his odds of 50/1 and gave a good account of himself although the Champion Bumper runner-up was a comfortable winner.
Atlantic Fairy returns after a year long absence since finishing third at Clonmel last October. The winner and second went on to win numerous races and it will be interesting to see how she goes this time around.
SELECTION: MASTER MCSHEE

1.25 Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase (Grade 2) 2m 160y
This is all about Chacun Pour Soi. The eight-year-old was flawless when last seen winning at the Dublin Racing Festival, with a three-and-a-half-length success over Min, who went on to score at Cheltenham.
This will be a stepping stone to bigger targets and one he should get over with ease for a trainer who has won 11 out of the last 13 renewals.
Cash Back looks the main danger, although it’s hard to know which Cash Back will turn up. Sizing Pottsie is a safer alternative, given how well he ran behind Felix Desjy at Punchestown, beating Darver Star by eight lengths into third.
SELECTION: CHACUN POUR SOI
Next best: Cash Back
1.55 Kerry Group Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase (Grade 3) 2m 160yds
A competitive race can go the way of Sapphire Lady. The switch to fences looks to have sparked new life into Willie Mullins’ eight-year-old, who was impressive at Clonmel on her last start. She should be fit and ready for this.
Scarlet And Dove poses the main threat after a good second over course and distance behind Yukon Lil. She won over hurdles on heavy at Navan in March suggesting the probable testing conditions will pose no threat.
SELECTION: SAPPHIRE LADY
Next best: Scarlet and Dove
2.30 Kerry Group Stayers Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) 3m
It’s very hard to get away from the Mick Winters-trained Sayce Gold. The Trevor Hemmings owned seven-year-old has been immaculate since her return from 10 months off, winning a Fairyhouse bumper and Thurles maiden hurdle in dominating fashion. She receives weight off her main rivals and can progress again.
The main danger comes from Darrens Hope, who was a good listed winner last time out for Robert Murphy. That came over this course and distance when beating the reopposing Ragnar Lodbrok by seven lengths and she will be right in the mix again.
SELECTION: SAYCE GOLD
Next best: Darrens Hope
3.00 Low Low Handicap Hurdle 2m
This looks a perfect opportunity for Pike County to open his account over hurdles. He was travelling very smoothly at Navan on his last start and looked the winner when crashing down at the last. He returns here off a 2lb higher mark, but Simon Torrens’s 5lb claim will compensate for that.
Shakeytry was a good winner over fences last time and is interesting off a 10lb lower hurdle mark. His last start over hurdles was a win at Downpatrick in 2018, and there’s no reason why he won’t go close.
SELECTION: PIKE COUNTY
Next best: Shakeytry
3.30 Kerrymaid Novice Handicap Hurdle 2m 4f
The 5lb penalty may not be enough to stop Dragon’s Pass from scoring back-to-back wins. She flew home at Navan on her last start to win by three lengths going away.
Sean Flanagan is in the plate again, so she should make her presence felt.
Satin Sun looks the sort who will relish this step-up in trip. She was outpaced at Wexford over two miles but rallied close home to get up for second, so the extra half mile shouldn’t be an issue. She was raised 2lb for that run but is lightly enough raced to improve again.
SELECTION: DRAGON’S PASS
Next best: Satin Sun
