1.50 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF (FILLIES) MAIDEN 5F

The Michael O’Callaghan-trained Summerseat Mist would be a deserving winner of this contest. The daughter of Dandy Man has run well to finish in the frame in all four of her starts to date and, having been given a small break after a couple of runs in quick succession, she could well make a winning return to action in this.

Of the newcomers, the Dermot Weld-trained India Rain catches the eye being very closely related to the top-class sprinter Rich Tapestry.

Selection: SUMMERSEAT MIST

Next best: India Rain

2.20 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF (FILLIES) HANDICAP 5F

Eddie Lynam looks to have the one to beat in the shape of Magic Bear. The daughter of Kodiac won a maiden at Dundalk last year and made a winning seasonal and handicap debut at Navan earlier this month, recording a comfortable success over more experienced opposition. She is clearly a progressive sprinter and a 10lb rise might not be enough to see her follow-up in this.

Of her opposition, the John Hayden-trained Accalia shaped well for a long way on her seasonal reappearance at the Curragh and should strip all the fitter for that.

Selection: MAGIC BEAR

Next best: Accalia

2.50 MIDSUMMER SPRINT STAKES (LISTED) 5F

This is a wide-open contest and it might be worth taking a chance on the Michael Halford-trained Yulong Baobei to defeat her elders. The daughter of Choisir showed a smart level of form as a juvenile and can readily be forgiven her disappointing seasonal reappearance at Navan as she raced too freely. This flatter five furlongs will very much suit and she should make a bold bid.

The most intriguing runner is the Fozzy Stack-trained Misty Birnam, with the three-year-old making his Irish debut having been placed in Group 1 company over a mile in South Africa last year.

Selection: YULONG BAOBEI

Next best: Misty Birnam

3.20 MUNSTER OAKS STAKES (GROUP 3) 1M 4F

This promises to be an intriguing clash between the three-year-olds and the older fillies but it could be one from the younger generation that takes the spoils in the shape of the John Oxx-trained Bengala.

The daughter of Pivotal made a winning debut at Leopardstown in April and was unlucky to go closer when meeting with trouble in running on her way to finishing a never-nearer third to Vociferous Marina in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan last time. This longer trip promises to suit and a big effort should be forthcoming.

Of her elders, the Jim Bolger-trained Glamorous Approach comes into this in the form of her life and seems sure to make a bold bid.

Selection: BENGALA

Next best: Glamorous Approach

3.50 CORK DERBY 1M 4F

This has attracted a competitive field and the one that makes the selection is the Willie McCreery-trained Zamira. The four-year-old has been progressing well of late, winning a maiden at Roscommon and following up in a handicap at Tipperary. A 4lb rise for the latter success may not be enough to stop her completing her hat-trick.

Of her rivals, the Dermot Weld-trained Sikandarabad is likely to run a big race on what will be his first try at a mile and a half.

Selection: ZAMIRA

Next best: Sikandarabad

4.20 BLIZZARDS PLAY LIVE JULY 14TH HANDICAP (45-65) DIV I 1M 150YDS

A chance is taken on the Jessica Harrington-trained Misty Mountain. The daughter of Lemon Drop Kid didn’t shape too badly on her handicap debut at Navan last time and could well improve enough for this longer trip to make a bold bid.

A solid alternative to the selection is the John Geoghegan-trained Queluz, with the four-year-old being in good form in similar contests of late.

Selection: MISTY MOUNTAIN

Next best: Queluz

4.50 BLIZZARDS PLAY LIVE JULY 14TH HANDICAP (45-65) DIV II 1M 150YDS

This is certainly the stronger of the two divisions of this race and preference is given to the Johnny Murtagh-trained Les Arceaux.

The son of Arcano showed significant improvement when winning a maiden at Gowran Park last time and although he will be confronted with a much sounder surface in this contest, it shouldn’t inconvenience too much and he is likely to prove to be tough to beat.

An unexposed runner of interest is the Andy McNamara-trained Silk King who hinted at promise on his handicap debut at Gowran Park last time.

Selection: LES ARCEAUX

Next best: Silk King

5.20 MALLOW TOWN SUMMER RACE EVENING JULY MAIDEN 1M 2F

A competitive maiden to close the card and preference is given to the Aidan O’Brien-trained Spanish Steps.

The son of Galileo made an encouraging seasonal reappearance when third to Twin Star at Navan and if he can improve from that he will prove difficult to beat in this company.

Perhaps his most interesting rival is the Dermot Weld-trained Harrana who appeals as being open to improvement.

Selection: SPANISH STEPS

Next best: Harrana
