4.10 STYLE EVENING AT TRAMORE RACES MAIDEN 1M 4F

An interesting clash between experience and promise in this maiden with the two that matter most being the David Wachman-trained Hurricane Volta and the Andy Oliver-trained Columbanus. Hurricane Volta had the benefit of four runs to his name and has earned an official rating of 75, but he was disappointing when stepped up to this trip at Wexford last time. On the other hand, Columbanus shaped with plenty of promise when a distant third to the exciting Brooch at Galway with this longer trip to suit, he could well improve enough to take this.

Selection: COLUMBANUS

4.45 ASHTOWN HOUSE STUD EBF FILLIES MAIDEN 1M 4F

Only six runners for this fillies’ maiden, but there isn’t a whole lot between five of them and it promises to be an intriguing race. Pat Flynn has a fine record at this track and his Memorable looks to be a leading contender. She ran well over this course and distance on her debut. While she hasn’t progressed in two starts over shorter trips since then, the return to this longer distance could well prove to be key. The least exposed runner in the field is the Dermot Weld-trained Scholarly and she warrants respect following her solid debut in a stronger race than this at Gowran Park last month.

Selection: MEMORABLE

5.20 ONLINE PHOTO PRINTING AT BRENNANSPHARMACY.IE RATED RACE 1M 4F

An interesting rated race and the David Wachman-trained An Fear Ciuin looks to be the one. The son of Galileo improved notably for a much more positive ride at Wexford last time, winning a handicap in good style off a rating of 63. More improvement promises and he will be tough to beat. The best of the rest is the Patrick Prendergast-trained Bogardus, with the son of Dalakhani having deservedly got off the mark at Wexford last time.

Selection: AN FEAR CIUIN

5.55 ASSEMBLY TECHNIQUES WEEKEND JOLLY HANDICAP 1M 4F

A disappointing turnout for this handicap and a good opportunity for the Willie Mullins-trained Shamar to get back on of track. The six-year-old has been a shade disappointing under both codes since joining Mullins considering he was talked of as a Triumph Hurdle prospect at one point, but he has been showing enough in much stronger handicaps than this of late to suggest that he can win here. The main danger to him is probably the John McConnell-trained Sheilas Wish but she wouldn’t want the ground to dry out too much.

Selection: SHAMAR

6.25 BLUE MOON STILL RISING RATED RACE 1M 6F

The Eoin Doyle-trained Days Ahead is given the nod. Doyle’s horses always warrant the utmost respect at this track and Days Ahead gained his second victory at this unique venue when winning a conditions chase on Thursday evening. He comes out quite well at these weights and should make a bold bid to make a winning return to the level. His main rival could well be the Brian Nolan-trained Fire Belt following his solid run at Sligo last time.

6.55 BET ONLINE AT THETOTE.COM HANDICAP (47-65) 1M 6F

Competitive fare and preference is given to the Eugene O’Sullivan-trained Aussie Guest. The five-year-old came good at Cork last time, absolutely bolting up under a clever ride from Joseph O’Brien. He deserved the 10lb the handicapper gave him for that win and he can follow up in this. The other one that stands out is the John Woods-trained Black Spot On as he still looks fairly treated on the flat relative to his form over hurdles.

Selection: AUSSIE GUEST

7.25 DAN COWMAN MEMORIAL HANDICAP 2M

Joe Murphy’s team is starting to hit form and his Jack Daddy looks to have strong prospects. The five-year-old ran a big race when second in a premier handicap at Leopardstown in September and can be expected to come on from his recent return to action. Provided the rain doesn’t arrive, he is likely to run very well. The Noel Dooly-trained Oneeightofamile made an excellent return to action at Tipperary last time and will be a danger to all if improving from that.

Selection: JACK DADDY
