What is your earliest point-to-point memory?

My first point-to-point was in Sligo. My uncle Michael had a horse called Derry Lark with Gordon Elliott who won. I think I was around six at the time.

What do you find most challenging about the point-to-point scene?

I suppose getting rides. Being a young jockey and getting rides are tough.

If you weren’t in the racing industry, what do you think you’d be doing?

I don’t know, my parents wanted me to be a teacher but I didn’t want to be. I’d probably be in the industry but not riding.

If you could travel the world, what would be your top five places?

Iceland, it’s a beautiful place. I’d go to Australia, America, Greece and Austria.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Reliable, honest and hard-working.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

I’ll still be in the racing industry but making use of my degree.

What’s your weirdest pet peeve?

Bellybuttons.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

Work hard and you’ll come out on top.

What’s your most unusual pet?

I have a goat called Maisie which I got for my birthday, who isn’t fully toilet trained and likes flowers.

If you could learn one skill what would it be?

Play the guitar.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I have a brown belt in karate!

Who is your biggest supporter behind you racing?

My Daddy. He’s always been there from the start, he gives me advice and looks after me.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve done?

Jumping the last fence the day I rode my first winner.
