Alison Corr

How did you get into point-to-pointing?

I started hunting when I was around 15 and then I met Aidan Fitzgerald. I started working there and I never left.

What is your favourite memory on the track?

I suppose Listowel. I rode a winner there for Willie Mullins and it was an honour to ride and win for a champion trainer.

What do you do outside of racing?

I’m definitely big into my sport. I love GAA and soccer and anything really.

If you weren’t involved in the racing sector, what do you think you would be doing?

I don’t know. I’d probably work with mares or young horses.

Did you ever go to college?

I didn’t, I finished school and that’s it. I hated having to be somewhere for a specific time and having to stay.

How would you describe yourself in three words? (Seems to be a tough question for most!)

Grumpy, hungry and hard-working.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Started riding horses!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

“He who dares wins.”

If you ever won the lottery, what would you do?

I’d buy some land and build a yard and do brood mares. After that I’d go on a load of holidays.

What’s your worst habit?

Giving out and complaining!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’d love to go Mexico. I’ve seen the beach parties in Cancun which look good!

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

I love rap music. Eminem is my favourite artist.

Where do you see yourself in five-years-time?

Hopefully riding plenty of winners and make a few pound as well.
