What is your earliest point-to-point memory?
It’s hard to think on the spot honestly! I suppose it would be going to local point-to-points with my uncle.
How did you get involved with horses?
My uncles used to train a few horses and I started riding out a few thoroughbreds at home. I got a pony when I was 10 and got going on that. I learned myself really.
Who was your first winner?
My first winner was on Ballycotton up north for Eoin Doyle.
What do you do outside of horses?
I play hurling! I have a good few county medals actually.
Is there anything people might be surprised to know about you?
I have a few All-Ireland athletic medals for running.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Smoking in the weigh tent drives me mad.
Where do you see yourself in five-years’ time?
Hopefully riding plenty of winners with a big bank balance to go with it.
If you could learn one skill, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to play the banjo because I can’t play any instruments at the moment.
If your life was a movie, what would it be called and who would play you?
I’d say it would be called “Living The Dream” and Liam Neeson would play me definitely.
Is there a saying you live by?
“Whatever you put in, you get out.”
Is there a goal or a big dream you’re aiming for in life?
Down the line, training horses would be a big thing for me. I’d love to be able to train a few winners.
