Alison Corr

What is your earliest point-to-point memory?

Watching my older brother John point-to-pointing. We used to go with Pat Doyle when we were younger actually. We would ride out there before I finished school and it all went from there.

How did you get involved with horses?

It’s bred into the family. We do a bit of everything. We did pony clubs and show jumping and now that we’re older it’s all racing.

If you could, would you do anything outside of horses?

I don’t really know much else. Not much else I can do!

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Hard-working, fun and indecisive.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I’m a good bit younger than my brother Johnny!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

I’m not very superstitious. I’m quite easy going most of the time.

If you could learn one skill what would it be?

I wish I could play an instrument. I wish I was good at other sports too. I’d love to play hurling but I like watching it too.

Who is your biggest supporter?

All my family really, they’re all involved. James trains and Johnny rides. My sister and my parents are all big supporters which is great.

What is your worst habit?

Not knowing when I’ve had enough to drink.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

I was told to finish school and I’m really proud that I’ve done that.

Is there anything you’re scared of?

I don’t like scary films!
