NEXT Sunday’s meeting at Dromahane, organised by the Duhallow Foxhounds, will be run as a fund-raiser for the hunt, the Irish Injured Jockeys fund and the fledgling Point-to-Point Handlers’ Association.

In a bid to attract more spectators, the fixture will feature a six-furlong flat race for members of the Irish Pony Club, a dog show and, as this vegetarian writer has been told, “a range of top-class food including O’Cralaoi Craft Butchers who will present their renowned homemade burgers and mouth-watering sausages’’.

Also booked in are Wood Fire Pizzas and “Rought Foodie” sandwiches, while there will be an endless supply of home baked produce, fresh strawberries and cream from West Cork and “Bean and Gone” Coffee.
