TREO Eile put on an Awareness Day at Punchestown Festival, which was an excellent opportunity to showcase thoroughbreds in their second career at one of the biggest racing festivals in Ireland.
In front of a crowded parade ring, Treo Eile’s Parade of Champions took place prior to the William Hill Champion Chase on Tuesday. Previous stars of the racetrack Douvan, Faugheen, Josies Orders, Sizing John and Minella Indo paraded to showcase thoroughbreds in their second careers. It was great to see previous owners and trainers of the stars being reunited once again.
Earlier in the day, Emily Kate Robinson and A Plus Tard and Claire Farrell and Renneti gave a brief dressage display on the racecourse after the First Race.
With the collective support of the Irish racing and breeding community, Treo Eile is helping more thoroughbreds than ever transition into successful second careers.
Owners, riders, trainers, breeders and supporters are encouraged to get involved in this growing initiative and be part of shaping a better future for our horses.
All funds raised here will go directly to supporting thoroughbreds in their transition from racing to their next careers. Treo Eile is inviting the racing and equestrian community to help showcase the incredible second careers of thoroughbreds.
