Point and bumper winner Cosmos d’Ainay ran well for a long way on his hurdle bow, before fading at the final flight and should be suited by this drop down in trip.

Dual point-to-point winner Bold Fury made an encouraging hurdle debut, when headed close home by a more experienced hurdler. That was his first start since May and should strip fitter today.

Migdam caught the eye on his hurdle and stable debut last month, making late headway to finish fifth, earning him a place on the shortlist here.

Tricksofthetrade failed to justify support on three starts in bumpers, but his placed efforts in point-to-points suggest he may be seen to better effect over obstacles.

May Call You Back has strong claims of defying a big weight, considering the manner in which she won over course and distance in May. A chase winner since, she seems to have little competition for the top spot here.

Gekkota has shown enough promise to suggest he could make his presence felt off his current mark. He came down when clipping heels last month - his first start since October - and, if fit today, could place here.

Course runner-up Menas Miracle went up 10lb for last month’s maiden victory and her subsequent fourth suggested she may only figure for placings off this mark.

Surviving Murmansk’s most recent effort was his best, placing for the first time from 16 starts over hurdles. He rarely follows up, but has a good chance off a low weight with a 7lb-claimer aboard.

The majority of these are probably best watched until entering handicap company, though The Monkey Pole looked up to winning when outrunning odds of 50/1 on hurdle debut last week.

He ran on well to finish a close second to a previous point-to-point winner and a similar effort would give him a leading chance today.

Full Of Life has been freshened up since disappointing in April, when she was sent off favourite but pulled up, reportedly blowing hard. Her previous efforts - a fine fourth at Punchestown and decent fourth at Leopardstown, rate her highly in this company. Summer ground is the only unknown or concern.

This trip looked to stretch Ballydrum at Sligo last week, but that was her very first start, so she is entitled to improve significantly.

Littlebiggie’s second-placed chase debut at Wexford rates her a better chance than Costanuci. That was over two miles and, considering her maiden hurdle win came over today’s trip, she has a leading chance today, with a first-time tongue strap applied. The trip should also work in favour of Cobra Queen, who was beaten a head last time out.

A switch to chasing in May saw Femme Magnifique produce her best effort for some time, when she was entitled to tire on her first start of the year. She separated decent mares that day and looks a useful addition to her new stable.

Of the newcomers to chasing, World Of Fortunes appeals. A dual listed winner over hurdles, she runs well fresh and has some talented chasers in her pedigree.

Hand Over Fist is back down to his most recent winning mark and his latest effort, in first-time blinkers, was his best for some time.

Wine An Dine edged closer to a first rules win last time out. That was a greater stamina test, but his hurdle form suggests today’s trip could be to his liking.

The Dasher Conway is without a win for over a year, but has dropped down to a workable mark. The inconsistent but capable Ik’s Man is next on the shortlist.

Itsalonglongroad finished second to what looked a well-handicapped rival over course and distance back in May, and appeals off the same mark today.

Onebrightbluerose is another with good course form and has been running well of late. She looks more than capable off today’s mark.

Lady Rose Hackett disappointed over hurdles, but her point-to-point success bodes well for her chasing career, though she might prefer softer ground.

Mist On The Bog ran a promising race last month - his second start over hurdles and first run in 11 months. That said, the 10-year-old remains a maiden, which is a concern.

La Confiner must have showed enough at home for her purchaser to invest in her half-brother this summer. Regardless, this No Risk At All mare hails from a yard that always warrants respect, and to what degree, the market should inform.

A drop in trip saw Chasing Crowns take a significant step forward on her second start over hurdles last week. A switch to the level could yield even further improvement. Run For Mahler made similar progress when well-backed at Sligo recently and may benefit from today’s shorter trip.

Something Fabulous made a respectable rules debut at the Galway Festival, finishing mid-division in a mares’ bumper, and is expected to improve today.

Shing Shang Lily is an interesting contender with Josh Williamson aboard. A half-sister to the useful St Stephens Green, she should come on from her racecourse debut, when fifth in a fillies’ maiden hurdle two weeks ago.

SELECTION: LA CONFINER
