A strong British-trained challenge is set to run in the Goffs Million, Europe’s most valuable race for two-year-olds, taking place this Saturday, day 1 of the Autumn Racing Weekend at the Curragh.

The Ralph Beckett-trained Blessed Voyager, Waasil, trained by Karl Burke, Bayside View, trained by Michael Bell, Nobelos, trained by Charlie Hills, and the Richard Hughes-trained pair of Gobby Grace and Love Is are amongst the British-trained team. Notable home-trained contenders include City Of Dubai, Green Dreamer, Force Noir, Cashel Queen, Carry The Flag, King of Cloughan, Trean, Alpine Wedding, The Good Wife and Pink Venom.

Aidan O’Brien has added recent Punchestown winner Noble Exhibit to his team for the Churchill Tyres Beresford Stakes. He also has Sergei Diaghilev, Ile De France and Drumbeat entered for the Group 2 contest. Trainer Joseph O’Brien has seven potential contenders, including Jesus Green, Leadlight and Benown, while Breath of Paradise, trained by Jessica Harrington, City Of Dubai and Trean, both trained by Paddy Twomey, and Alfred Wallace, trained in Britain by Ed Walker, also feature in the race over one mile.

The Friends of the Curragh Irish Cesarewitch takes centre stage on Sunday, with a full field of thirty expected to line up. Current contenders for the €500,000 contest include Absurbe, Daddylonglegs, Bunting, Chally Chute, Putapoundinthejar, Square Necker, Leinster, Emit, The Reverend and last year’s winner, Puturhandstogether.

Power Blue, King Cuan, Fregada, Bear On The Run and Big Gossey feature amongst the sixteen entries for the Group 3 Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club Renaissance Stakes, together with British-trained trio King of Blue, Soul Love and Division.

Some of the leading two-year-old fillies are set to line up in the Darley Fillies Stakes, with entries for the Group 3 contest including Curracloe, Magna Victoria, Snowing, Value Pending, Alpine Wedding and Ibelieveicanfly.
