Christophe Soumillon is booked to ride two horses in Group 3 races at the Curragh on Saturday for The Thorougbred Corporation. One is trained by Donnacha O'Brien and the other by John and Thady Gosden.

The leading French-based rider rides Where Love Lives in the Group 3 Heider Family Stables Round Tower Stakes. A two-year-old colt by Cotai Glory, Where Love Lives won twice for trainer Kevin Ryan before being acquired by his new Saudi-backed owners and moved to Donnacha O'Brien. On his first start for new connections, he finished fourth in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood.

Likely favourite for the Round Tower Stakes is Great Barrier Reef. Trained by Aidan O'Brien, he carries a 5lb penalty as a winner of the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Later on the Curragh card Soumillon rides Miss Scott in the Group 3 Snow Fairy Stakes. Never out of the first two in four starts, the three-year-old Night Of Thunder filly has been supplemented for this race by the Gosden team.

Last autumn Soumillon deputised for the injured Ryan Moore in a string of races. This week Irish champion jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle suffered injuries in a racecourse fall which will rule him out for "a number of weeks" but Soumillon has not been engaged on Saturday to ride any of Joseph O'Brien's nine runners at the Curragh.

Saturday's card also features the Tote Irish Cambridgeshire, which has 18 runners, headed by course specialist Big Gossey.

The day ends with the Pat Smullen Cancer Trials Ireland Charity Race over a mile and a half, an event which always attracts a large number of supporters for the 19 participating riders.

On Thursday morning the going at the Curragh was described as good on the round course and good to firm, good in places in the straight. Heavy rain is forecast for Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday, approximately 15mm-30mm, according to Met Eireann.
