Following an early morning inspection, Limerick's racemeeting scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled due to waterlogging.
Shane Ryder, IHRB clerk of the course at Limerick, said: “Following a further 12mm of rain overnight, unfortunately Limerick is now unfit for racing as there is water lying on parts of the track.
“The 12mm overnight is on top of the 31mm of rain we’ve had since entries last Thursday with a further 53mm in the previous two weeks.
“There is further showers to come today and unfortunately that has left us with no option but to cancel the fixture scheduled for this afternoon.”
