IT’S official... sort of.

Rachael Blackmore is proving to be just as smart off the track as she was on the turf, judging by her clever social media post this week.

Ever since Rachael retired from race-riding last May, there has been speculation about whether she and partner Brian Hayes might be planning to start a family.

There were more whispers when they got married in the new year but nothing official.

Now Rachael appears to have broken the happy news with this intriguing social media post which heavily features Volvo, one of her sponsors. The image clearly shows a pram packaged in the boot.

Just weeks after Rachael Blackmore retired from the saddle, she was revealed as an ambassador for Volvo. She appeared at a regatta in Dun Laoghaire sponsored by the car maker and also took part in a fireside chat with celebrity architect Dermot Bannon organised by Volvo last November in a Dublin gallery.

Whether Rachael is expecting or it’s just a bit of fun, Volvo will certainly be happy with the publicity.
