Breeder of the Month Award

SENORITA Bonita has earned Michael and Tom Gaffney of Hawes Stud and Churchtown House Stud a win in the Connolly’s Red Mills The Irish Field Breeder of the Month competition for August. The Starspangledbanner filly won the Group 1 Prix Morny by four lengths at Deauville last month.

RMG appointment

RACECOURSE Media Group (RMG) has announced the appointment of Nigel Railton as its new Chair. Currently chair of Post Office Ltd, Railton brings extensive board-level, commercial and leadership experience from a distinguished career spanning media, consumer-facing and highly regulated industries. He is also a trustee of The Social Mobility Foundation and previously served as chief executive officer of Camelot UK, operator of The National Lottery.

Kingdom covered

TG4 returns to the Kingdom this September for six days of live horse racing from the Listowel Harvest Festival, with Rásaí Beo bringing viewers all the action from Monday, September 21st through to Saturday, September 26th.

This year marks 22 years since TG4 first broadcast live from the Harvest Festival in 2004, with Rásaí Lios Tuathail having become a firm fixture in the channel’s racing calendar. Rásaí Beo will also bring viewers live coverage of the Goffs Million from the Curragh as part of its Saturday programme next week.
