Il Etait Temps heads the market at 4/7 for the £175,000 Betfair Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park on Saturday December 6th. The famous contest is the first two-mile Grade 1 chase of the season in Britain.

Trained by reigning champion trainer Willie Mullins, the five-time Grade 1 winner Il Etait Temps is proven over the course and distance, having taken the Grade 1 bet365 Celebration Chase at Sandown Park on bet365 Jump Finale back in April. Mullins is seeking his second Tingle Creek success, following Un de Sceaux in 2016.

Second to Il Etait Temps back in April was Jonbon (Nicky Henderson, 7/2), winner of the latest two runnings of the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase in 2023 and 2024. He was beaten on his seasonal reappearance behind L’Eau Du Sud (Dan Skelton, 11/4) at Cheltenham in the Grade 2 Shloer Chase last week but boasts a tremendous record at Sandown Park with five Grade 1 wins overall.
