GODOLPHIN trainer Charlie Appleby has supplemented two colts for the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday, September 13th, and added one filly to the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes on the same Irish Champions Weekend card.

The colts are Doncaster maiden winner Jassas (by Dubawi) and Newmarket maiden runner-up Al Wathba (by Wootton Bassett). Appleby and Godolphin have won the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes three times in the past 10 years.

This week’s Group 2 Vintage Stakes winner Dr Rascal has also been added to the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes by trainer Oliver Cole. Last year’s Vintage Stakes winner Zavateri was successful in the Curragh Group 1. Ed Walker has supplemented Alfred Wallace, winner of a good listed race at Ascot last Saturday.

Godolphin’s late entry for the Moyglare Stud Stakes is Graceful Song, a Dubawi filly who made a winning debut at Newmarket last month.
