Following inspections at 8am on Sunday morning, both Galway and Wexford were found to be fit for racing and the fixtures scheduled to take place will go ahead.
The first of an eight-race card at Galway is due off at 12.32pm, while the first of eight races at Wexford is due off at 12.50pm.
Lorcan Wyer, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Galway said: “The track has passed our inspection this morning and racing today goes ahead. There was a further 3mm of rain and strong winds since the previous update at 4pm on Saturday. The ground is soft to heavy on the Chase course, soft on the Hurdle course & heavy on the Flat track for racing on Tuesday.
“We have a mainly dry forecast for today, with further rain developing in the early hours of Monday morning with approximately 10-12mm forecast and then some light showers on Tuesday."
Niall Madden, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Wexford said: “I’m pleased to report that our track remains fit for racing and today's fixture goes ahead.
“We had just a further 2.5mm of rain yesterday afternoon which had stopped by 4pm and we have been dry since then with some very strong winds. The ground is now soft with a dry & breezy forecast for today.
“Looking ahead to racing tomorrow and we do have further rain developing overnight tonight. There is the possibility we could get approximately 10-12mm from the early hours of tomorrow morning through to the end of racing tomorrow and it is due to be very gusty. We have fresh ground on both tracks.”
