FRIDAY'S meeting at Fairyhouse has survived the cold weather.

The track was unraceable at 7.30am and a further inspection was called for 10am. By that time the hurdle track had fully thawed out but the chase track remained frozen in places.

However, just before the opening race got underway at noon, the chase track was passed fit for racing. The ground is heavy.
