2.00 Ladies Day At Dundalk Handicap 5f
Rosie Firth won twice over this course and distance last season and arrives here with a recent success on the turf to her name. She gamely made all the running to score from strong favourite Namiid at Bellewstown 10 days ago and could be difficult to peg back again if she can gain an early lead.
Final Melody was a model of consistency in the second half of her two-year-old career and is another course and distance winner. However, she could be up against it on her seasonal reappearance and one making more appeal this time is seven-time winner The Highway Rat, who showed up well in a stronger race at the Curragh in May and went closer again when runner-up to Bodhi Bear at Navan.
SELECTION: ROSIE FIRTH
Next best: The Highway Rat

Iff In Doubt came with a late run to win over this course and distance at the end of February and he’s shown up well in two outings since. He went close over eight furlongs here before coming from well off the pace to take fifth spot over six furlongs at the Curragh in early May.
Back up in trip, he’s sure to be more competitive and is just fancied ahead of the consistent Kc Bear, who won over six furlongs here in December and now comes back in distance after taking the runner-up spot behind Kirkland Sioux at Fairyhouse.
The ground was soft when Gonna Be Golden just lost out over five furlongs at Down Royal last month and he’s a big danger, having won his maiden here over this distance in December.
SELECTION: IFF IN DOUBT
Next best: Kc Bear
3.10 Anglo Printers - Award Winning Print And Packaging Maiden (3yo) 1m
Krasimir has finished either second or third on each of his six starts to date and definitely sets the standard.
Only beaten a length when third in a rated race over this distance at Leopardstown last month, he was closer again when filling the same place in a maiden at Naas, where he plugged on well in first-time blinkers behind Listentodwindblow.
The headgear is retained for today and he’s preferred to Karrygrant, who runs in cheekpieces after a fair effort at the Curragh on Derby weekend. Outlaw Man was on the back foot after a slow start in a winners’ race when last seen here in late February, but he might be considered on his earlier run when second to the subsequent winner Goldinthesea also over this course and distance.
SELECTION: KRASIMIR
Next best: Karrygrant

Bella Colombia looks to have plenty going for her. She has won twice at the course, most recently over this distance in March, when scoring in good style from a wider draw than today’s. She has done well since, taking second place at Fairyhouse last time.
Famous Enough was a few lengths behind the selection at Fairyhouse and he’s another course and distance winner lining out, having won here last September. Micasso gained his first win when coming from off the pace to score over this distance at Bellewstown, a fair effort on his first start since October.
SELECTION: BELLA COLOMBIA
Next best: Famous Enough
4.20 Fairways Hotel Dundalk Apprentice Handicap 1m 4f
Celtic Druid certainly knows his way around here and he’s taken to record his third win over this distance at the track. Successful at Bellewstown this time last year, the top-weight won back-to-back races here in March and April and wasn’t too far off winning again in the Apprentice Derby at the Curragh two weeks ago.
Baila Conmigo is another to have already won two races here this year and he could well get closer today than he did behind Ballyadam at Listowel in late May. Rich Belief has been running over hurdles of late, winning a claimer at Wexford and finishing third to Raydamann in a similar race at Sligo a month ago.
SELECTION: CELTIC DRUID
Next best: Baila Conmigo

Reynir will take all the beating. He went well on his debut on soft ground at Gowran Park in April and was better again when third to the subsequent Royal Ascot scorer Enceladus on a sounder surface at Cork.
He earned a rating of 85 after narrowly losing out to the front-running Genchev at Navan in May and that should leave him with a little in hand over Police Gazette, who drops back in trip after finishing third behind the selection’s stablemate Believed over 12 furlongs here.
There didn’t appear to be any market confidence behind Let’s Smash It on his debut over a mile here in early December and, while he ran a big race, he could now be up against it on his return.
SELECTION: REYNIR
Next best: Police Gazette
5.30 Family Funday At Dundalk Saturday 15th August Fillies Maiden 1m 2f 150yd
This looks a nice opportunity for Duvessa. She chased home Marazion over a longer trip than this on good ground at Roscommon in May and was well clear of the remainder when third to another improver in Counting Coup and Daddy Long Legs on soft ground at Down Royal the following month.
Forthill ran her best race when third to Switch From Diesel and Factual Fact on heavy ground at the Curragh last November, but she didn’t do so well on her return on soft ground at Bellewstown in April. The English import Tequila is absent since last September and starts out for a new trainer here.
SELECTION: DUVESSA
Next best: Forthill
