Amo Racing has appointed Kevin Philippart de Foy as retained trainer at the historic Freemason Lodge in Newmarket.
Sir Michael Stoute was based at Freemason Lodge for decades up to his retirement last year.
This announcement coincides with the completion of phase two of Freemason Lodge's extensive refurbishment.
Kevin Philippart de Foy, a Belgian native, is from a racing family and worked with John Oxx, Criquette Head, Christophe Clement and James Fanshawe before going out on his own.
His best horses to-date have been dual listed winner and Group 2-placed Vafortino and Group 3 winner Inquisitively (later renamed Fast Responder in Hong Kong).
According to a press release issued by Amo Racing on Tuesday afternoon, "Kevin's appointment follows a thorough and detailed selection process involving some great candidates. Kevin stood out not only due to his proven track record and meticulous attention to detail, but also for his alignment with Amo Racing's ethos, ambition, and forward-thinking approach.
"Already a trusted part of the Amo Racing team for several years, Kevin brings a modern and progressive training philosophy, along with a growing reputation for delivering results at the highest level. With Freemason Lodge as his new base, he is perfectly positioned to lead the operation into an exciting new era.
"As part of the originally planned transition, Raphael Freire, who has played a key role in establishing Freemason Lodge over the past four months, will now step away from his current role and return to his previous, more focused capacity as Amo Racing's private trainer. He will continue to support Kevin during the handover period to ensure a smooth and stable transition."
Kia Joorabchian, founder of Amo Racing, said: "First, I'd like to welcome Kevin Philippart de Foy as our new trainer at Freemason Lodge. Kevin is a fantastic horseman who understands our goals and shares our ambition. Having known and worked with him for several years, it makes this transition even smoother. We know his character fits and our ideas align perfectly.
"We believe he's the right person to take the operation to the next level, and we're excited about what's ahead with him leading the team at this historic yard."
