IT was back to normal in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes, where Moore rode 5/2 favourite Land Force for Ballydoyle and came home a length ahead of Marie’s Diamond with Shine So Bright, who saw no daylight at all until too late, a close third.

Land Force has been busy enough and most recently landed a listed race at Tipperary.

As is often the case at Goodwood, a relatively small field bunched towards the stands’ side, with Charming Kid and Konchek showing good early pace.

Konchek finally hit the front but Moore swooped on Land Force and went past him to score by a length.

The form of the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot is standing up well, with fourth home Rumble Inthejungle winning here on Wednesday and Land Force, just ahead of him in third, obliging 24 hours later.

Kevin Buckley, Coolmore’s UK representative, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon. Land Force battled hard and Ryan was delighted with the performance. I think six furlongs at the moment could be his favoured trip. It’s very exciting that he is by No Nay Never, who has got his first crop of two-year-olds this year.”
