Treve’s sister off the mark

TERRE, a sister to Treve, won her first race at Chantilly on Wednesday. The three-year-old, who is also trained by Criquette Head-Maarek, stretched her rivals out from the front and picked up well to beat Jedi Princess by three lengths. The daughter of Motivator was winning on the third time of asking and she will now follow a similar path to Treve with Head-Maarek set to target her at the Group 1 Prix de Diane at Chantilly.

Fabre bullish about Al Wukair

ANDRE Fabre is adamant that his Qipco 2000 Guineas runner Al Wukair will finish in the first three and may become his third winner of the race.

The Ballylinch-bred son of Dream Ahead has yet to taste defeat in three races and impressed when taking the Prix Djebel ahead of the National Defense.

Fabre has previously won the 2000 Guineas with Zafonic and Pennekamp.
