Prix d’Harcourt

(Group 2)

ANDRE Fabre scored a treble at Chantilly last Sunday and the highlight was the success of Godolphin’s Cloth Of Stars in the Group 2 Prix d’Harcourt as he smashed 10-furlong track record.

#Although he may have overdone waiting tactics on favourite Franz Schubert in the preceding Prix La Force, Corsican-born Mickael Barzalona was spot on when employing them on Cloth Of Stars who collared the useful Mekhtaal shortly before the line.

The son of Sea The Stars is two from two so far this season having already scored in the Group 3 Prix Exbury at Saint-Cloud last month.

Last year Cloth Of Stars was a well-beaten eighth to Harzand in the Investec Derby and was then off the track after a third in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris.

#The son of Sea The Stars may go to Newmarket for the Jockey Club Stakes and he has also been entered in the Coronation Cup at Epsom.
