THE Tony Dutrow-trained Mo Town, an Uncle Mo colt, brings his back class to the mix as the Remsen Stakes winner makes his seasonal debut in the 14-horse field entered for the Grade 2 Risen Star at the Fair Grounds.

Part owned by the Coolmore team of Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith, along with Dutrow’s Team D, Mo Town enjoyed a seven-length Belmont Park romp on his second start and pounced late to win in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes going 1 1/8 miles, beating No Dozing by two and a half lengths to put himself on the list for the 2017 Triple Crown trail.

The Risen Star has 50 points awarded to the winner for the Kentucky Derby entry.

Guest Suite has the best recent form and may be the danger and, a winner dual around two turns, the Quality Road gelding ended his two-year-old campaign with a six and a quarter length allowance win going a mile at Churchill Downs in November and came with an off-the-pace run to take the Lecomte Stakes by a length and a quarter over fellow Risen Star entrant Untrapped.

Also on the card are three competitive graded races, the Fair Ground Handicap on turf with Oscar Nominated, and the Rachel Alexandra for fillies with Mark Casse’s Valadorna and Farrell and heading the market.
