WHAT a superb achievement on the part of Graham McKeever to saddle Chosen Dream to land the open lightweight at Ballingarry last Sunday.
The seven-year-old Well Chosen gelding also opened his 2014/15 campaign in victory when claiming the winners of two at Loughbrickland in mid-October. In eight runs this season, he recorded five wins, was second twice and third once.
DELIGHTED
Delighted owner Peggy Hagan was on hand to greet Chosen Dream on Sunday having travelled down to the Ormond Foxhounds’ meeting with her grandson Jamsie Hagan and his wife Sarah.
Her pride and joy is now on his summer break and won’t be brought back in until August. If the ground is good, he’ll run in a point-to-point in the autumn but his main aim next season will be the Foxhunters’ Chase at Cheltenham.
Jamie Codd rode Chosen Dream when he landed the winners of three at Corbeagh House in November but he was otherwise partnered by Derek O’Connor who brought up his 90th and final success of the campaign on the dark bay last Sunday.
