MANY congratulations to Tilly and Pat Conway following the success of their Dermot ‘Red’ McLoughlin-trained Santa Rossa in the Grade 2 Coolmore NH Sires Irish EBF Mares INH Flat Race at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Supplying rider Finny Maguire with yet another bumper success at the Foxrock track, Santa Rossa had been partnered by Mark O’Hare on her only previous start when winning at Fairyhouse before Christmas.

On Sunday, O’Hare was on board the third-placed Jeremys Flame who, unsurprisingly, is a daughter of Jeremy – as is the winner.

Landing a graded race with a homebred mare is particularly special and the Conways are sure to have the best interests of Santa Rossa in mind when deciding where she will go next.

The five-year-old bay is the second of five recorded foals, and the only runner to date, out of the Almutawakel mare Panther Moon who comes from the family of Assessor, Valley Forge and Pitcairn.
