Wednesday - Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup

He was very good at Aintree and before that I thought he was unlucky not to finish a bit closer in the Ryanair at Cheltenham. He has been bouncing since Aintree and he has been left in The Gold Cup. I’d say he’ll get the trip fine but I’ll speak to Eddie and Michael and see what they want to do. If he lines up, he should run a very big race.

NO MORE HEROES

Wednesday - Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle

I’d say he’ll go for the three mile race. He was unlucky at Cheltenham and he has come out of that in great form. He has a couple of options but we are leaning towards the three mile race as we know that he does stay very well. He won’t mind better ground and to be honest he seems to handle any ground really. He should get into the shake up. He is fresh and well.

Tuesday - Goffs Land Rover Bumper

He is a horse that we like and he won his point-to-point in February and we’ll run him in the Land Rover Bumper. He will make into a lovely chaser down the road, but he has improved a nice bit since he ran and I have been happy with him. This is always a real good race but I think my horse will give a very good account of himself.

Tuesday - Killashee Handicap Hurdle

He’ll line up in one of the handicaps and there is a good race to be won with him. They didn’t go fast enough for him the last day at Aintree and he works like a real good horse at home. If things go right for him, he’ll run a very big race. He’ll be kept on the go for the summer and he might jump a fence later on this year, but we’ll try and win a nice race with him over hurdles first.

Wednesday - Attheraces.com Champion Bumper

He is a real good horse and he was very good the last day at Limerick. He stays well, has loads of pace and he seems to handle any ground and I think the better the ground the better he’ll run. He has been in super form at home and he’ll go for the Champion Bumper. He has done everything right so far and he looks a real good horse. I am not sure yet who’ll ride him.

Tuesday - Killashee Handicap Hurdle

He won well at Fairyhouse and he’ll take his chance in a handicap hurdle on Tuesday. He will be meeting the same type of horses again and he seems to be in great shape at home. He is improving all the time and he should go close again.

KLEPHT

Wednesday - Guinness Handicap Chase

He’ll take his chance in a handicap chase and he ran very well at Cheltenham and he has been in super form since. I’d like to think that he will have improved for that run and he is back to the same mark that he won off when he won this race two years ago. He should give a very good account of himself.

HES OUR ROBIN

Tuesday/Wednesday - Bumpers

He has a couple of options and he will go for either a maiden or a winners’ bumper. He is after improving a good bit for the break and he strengthened up a good bit. He is a horse that I like and he’ll have a good chance in whatever race he runs in. He has plenty of experience and that will be a help to him around there.

Thursday - Donohue Marquees Handicap Hurdle

He ran in the three mile handicap hurdle last year and I felt that he could have/should have won if things had gone differently. I have been waiting for good ground for him for the last six months and he has only had the two runs over hurdles. He won his maiden hurdle and was seventh in this race last year. If things go his way, he should run a big race, but he must have good ground.

Tuesday - JLT INH Flat Race

He goes well and he’ll go for the four-year-old bumper. He has plenty done and he is a horse with a good pedigree. It is always a tough race, but I like my horse and I think he is capable of running well.

LAST GOODBYE

Tuesday - Goffs Land Rover Bumper

He is another horse that has plenty done and he goes well. He lacks a run and a good few of them have had the benefit of a run and that will be a big help to them in a race like this. But I do like this horse and he is another that wants good ground.

Thursday - Murray Spelman Handicap Hurdle

She won for us at Galway and she is another that wants good ground. She was third on her last run at Leopardstown and I have been very pleased with her since. All the handicaps will be competitive but she is in great form and as long as the ground remains good, I think she’ll run a big race.

MAGUIRE’S GLEN

Wednesday - Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle

He is in great form and he’ll take his chance in this. He has developed into a solid horse for us and if he gets a bit of luck in running, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got into the shake-up.

ANTHONY MCCANN

SHABRA’S BERTOLINI

6yo b g (108121351024)

Thursday - Murray Spelman Handicap Hurdle

He’ll run on Thursday and he didn’t act around Wexford at all. He backed off it and I would be inclined to put a line through that run. He ate up and has been fine since and I’ll run a blood test on him but if he is okay, the plan is that he’ll go there and hopefully he’ll be competitive. He is in mighty order.

JAKES DAVE

Saturday/Bumper

She is a very nice filly and I just hope there is a good cut in the ground. I really like her and she goes very well. She will improve a good bit for the run, but she does everything right. She is being pitched in at a high level and we’ll know a lot more about her after she runs, but she looks a decent mare.

DAVID PIPE

BALLYNAGOUR

Wednesday - Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup

He is in the two mile and three miles race at Punchestown and the likelihood is that he’ll go and we are leaning towards the three miles race after such a great run at Aintree. He seems to have come out of Aintree very well.

UN TEMPS POUR TOUT

6yo b g (/11331321-3363)

Thursday - Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle

He is in the Stayers Hurdle and he could go there or we might wait for the French Champion Hurdle. He hasn’t had things in his favour yet and we are hoping for a full season with him next year and he’ll go novice chasing. He just wants softer ground - he has been running on ground that has been too quick for him really but he has been running some good races.

DELL’ ARCA

6yo b g (1U253-425523F7)

Friday - Queally Group Punchestown Champion Hurdle

He will take his chance in the Champion Hurdle. There is a lot of prize money on offer and there are only eight entries at this stage. We’ll try and pick up as much prize money as we can and he is a good horse. It will be difficult to trouble the favourites but there is lots of money on offer so we’ll give it a go.

MONETAIRE

9yo b/br g (/012/500PP-312U)

Saturday - Setanta Sports Handicap Hurdle

He ran well at Cheltenham and he was unlucky to be brought down over the National fences. He is in over hurdles in the big two and a half mile handicap hurdle on Saturday. If the ground is okay we intend to send him over - he seems to be in good form.

BALTIMORE ROCK

6yo b g (/312114-074)

Saturday - Setanta Sports Handicap Hurdle

He may go for one of the handicaps as well. He is in the big handicap hurdle on Saturday and we’ll have a look at the weights and see what looks the best option for him but he could travel.

CHAMPERS ON ICE

Wednesday/Thurdsay - Bumper

He is a nice horse that we bought after he won a point-to-point earlier this year and he could go for one of the bumpers.

ANDY LYNCH

ZABANA

6yo ch g (311015-0312)

Thursday - Ladbrokes Series World Hurdle

He has top-weight in the big handicap on Saturday, but he won’t go there and instead he’ll run in the Stayers Hurdle. He ran a hell of a race at Cheltenham and he has been bouncing since. It will be a big ask for him but he’d have top-weight in the handicap and I wouldn’t do that to him. He meets some very good horses off level weights but it will be his last run of the season so we’ll let him take his chance. I’ll speak to Chris (Jones) but I’d imagine that he’ll go chasing next season. He is still a bit weak and he will improve another bit for a break.
