Who would have thought that the first two in the Grade 1 Imagine Cruising First In The Frame Top Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree last April, Buveur D’Air and Petit Mouchoir, neither of whom started favourite behind Limini (11/10), would turn out the be first and second in the betting in the Champion Hurdle.
Surprise two
Which horse started at 40/1 for the Albert Bartlett Hurdle at the festival in 2015 and finished almost last in ninth place.
Two years later he is second favourite for the Gold Cup.
