Ballylongford: A charity race meeting will be held in Ballylongford, Co Kerry, tomorrow, Sunday starting at 1pm.

This meeting will run in aid of a local eight-year-old boy Michael Beasley O’Flaherty who is awaiting a bone marrow transplant.

Athea Races in Co. Limerick will then draw the season to a close on Saturday, September 22nd where the first race is due off at 2pm.

North-West: The region concludes its season with a meeting at Agivey Road, Aghadowey, Co Derry tomorrow with a 2.30pm start.

This meeting was postponed last week following the tragic death of horse and pony racing stalwart Francie Browne in a car-crash.
