TRINITY students Hector Chamberlain and Will Forsyth-Forrest continue their epic journey by unicycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head to raise funds for Irish Injured Jockeys.
If all goes to plan the dynamic duo will unicycle just under 400 miles in 11 days dressed in racing colours and break the world record! If you read their blog at – racing-unicycles-the-length-of-ireland-for-iijf.webnode.com – you would want to empty your bank account for the cause – it ain’t easy!
Jockeys at Limerick came out in support, though wary about giving it a go themselves. Donnacha O’Brien got into a bit of trouble getting up on one of the unicycles.
Between flies swallowed, smoking knees and bone shattering pot holes, will these boys get out alive?
Hector understandably had a tantrum, threw a sulk when he couldn’t get going on his unicycle and hurled it onto the top of a bramble bush. The other unicycle had to be used as a slasher to retrieve it.
