NEXT week the racing festival action moves to the delights of the seaside venue of Tramore, with the four day festival from Thursday to Sunday, August 17-20th.
Tramore certainly lives up to its tagline of Much More Than Racing as there is something for everyone over the four days.
Fashionistas from all over Ireland will enjoy fashion, racing, cocktails and fun on the Saturday evening and the afternoon meeting on the final day, Sunday, August 20, is a Family Fun Day.
Style Evening is the highlight of any summer festival and Lisa McGowan, a five-time winner herself, has the unenviable task of choosing one best dressed winner.
To give you a bit of courage, this year sees the introduction of the exclusive festival cocktail, the Graun Hill Thrill, a tasty summer mix of Waterford’s Thin Gin and watermelon and cucumber tonic.
Family Fun afternoon is always terrific with free entertainment for kids of all ages including Front Runner Racing Club for Kids, a mobile farm, a circus skills workshop, bouncy castles and games.
Top tip for the week – avail of online ticketing (www.tramore-racecourse.com) and beat the queues.
