RACING, fashion, top hats and Pimms, along with Royal Ascot vibes were certainly felt last Sunday at Naas Racecourse’s Royal Ascot Trials Day and Ladies Day.

Co Down woman Charlene Byers was announced as the winner of the best dressed lady competition, wowing the judges with a stunning white cape from Lavish Alice and a beautiful hat from milliner Laura Hanlon.

The prize was a bit different as Charlene and 19 of her friends or family will be treated to a lavish night away and dinner in the historic Palmerstown Manor. Charlene can also scoop up some fabulous new outfits after also winning a €1,000 spend at Kildare Village.

INTERESTING news from Rhoda Bermingham who works for Sensational Kids, who develop funding to subsidise therapy services for early intervention for children with additional needs. This year is their 10th anniversary and being located on the edge of Kildare Town they have a close relationship with the horse industry. Also, this year we are introducing a new form of therapy called hippotherapy, using horses. Sounds fun.
