STAN Cosgrove has retired from the board of Robert J. Goff & Co plc., the parent company of Goffs, after over 40 years of service.

Renowned veterinary surgeon and former manager of Moyglare Stud, Stan Cosgrove has served as director of the Goffs parent board, representing the interests of the Haefner family, since the company became a plc and moved to Kildare Paddocks in 1975.

Goffs chairman Eimear Mulhern, at a presentation to Stan following this week’s end of year Robert J Goffs board meeting, said:

“Stan has been a stalwart of the Goffs board for many years and his advice, wisdom and industry insight has been invaluable to the company during some of the most important decades in its history. On behalf of the shareholders and board members, past and present I would like to thank Stan for his commitment to Goffs and wish him the very best on his retirement. We will certainly miss both his knowledge and his unfailing humour but look forward to seeing him at Goffs sales.”
