NEXT Saturday is Marymount Charity Raceday at Cork Racecourse. The track is donating 100% of proceeds from general admission and race sponsorship to Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, along with a percentage from hospitality, racecard advertisements and other sources, presenting the charity with the opportunity to raise a substantial sum of money. There is everything from live music, kids’ entertainment, and style awards taking place.

Irish fashion label Lennon Courtney will sponsor the best dressed lady competition and the lucky winner will receive a one-on-one styling session with Brendan Courtney, as well as a €200 voucher to spend on Lennon Courtney in Dunnes Stores.

Sponsoring the best dressed man competition is tailor to the stars Louis Copeland & Sons. The winner will receive a made-to-measure suit from the renowned brand.

The most stylish couple will win flights to London with a hotel stay and two champagne London Eye tickets, sponsored by Lee Travel.

All proceeds from August 17th will go directly to Marymount’s specialist community palliative care services, which offers support to people who are living at home with a serious illness in Cork city and county and is completely free of charge, running seven days a week.
