IS one month enough time to get your style together for the Longines Prize For Elegance at Leopardstownon Saturday, September 9th and the Curragh, Sunday, September 10th, or is everyone already sorted?

At both racecourses, fashion enthusiasts will get a chance to showcase their style credentials and be in with a chance to win some of the €25,000 in prizes on offer for the most stylish lady and gent.

The prizes comprise shopping experiences from Ireland’s elite fashion houses, including Louise Kennedy, Louis Copeland and Kildare Village as well as a luxury stay at Dublin’s best address, the Merrion Hotel.

Title sponsor, Longines, will also gift the winners each day with an elegant time piece from their latest collection.

If that isn’t enough, try entering the Moët & Chandon champion hat competiton at Leopardstown, which supports Irish milliners who are such an important part of our fashion industry.

Entrants will be judged solely on the hat or headpiece and are invited to be as creative or as subtle as they wish. Last year Geraldine Shalvey won with a spectacular creation by Davina Lynch of gold, feathers, crystal and pearls.

FAMILY FUN

Day two of Longines Irish Champions Weekend on Sunday is at the Curragh where a Family Friendly Enclosure will be located in the in-field of the racecourse with fantastic views of all the racing action.

The enclosure will feature a great mix of family friendly entertainment, together with a high-quality food and drink area.
