A trip to Ballydoyle is one of the highlights of the auction to be held at the Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust lunch at the Dorchester Hotel, Thursday November 22nd which will see Aidan O’Brien receive the Trust’s annual award (a bronze replica of Sir Peter’s binoculars).

John Francome will take to the podium to auction the donated items in aid of welfare charities and Michael Parkinson will provide some sizzling entertainment.

AUCTION ITEMS

Lot 1 Johnny Jonas, the world famous portrait artist has captured Aidan O’Brien superbly.

Lot 2 A private box for up to 20 guests overlooking Newbury Racecourse for the 2018 Ladbrokes Trophy on December 1st. Champagne and canapés on arrival, lunch and tea, champagne and wine.

Lot 3 Terence Gilbert has captured the dual Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D’Air as he jumps the last and storms home at Cheltenham

Lot 4 A great day out for six at the Randox Health Grand National on April 6th 2019 including a three course meal with wine and afternoon tea.

Lot 5 Painting of Christmas Eve by Hubert de Watrigant.

Lot 6 A trp to the Dubai World Cup in 2019. Two business class return flights with Emirates Airline, a five night stay in a five star hotel, with chauffeured ground transportation.

Lot 7 A quarter size sculpture of chaser Denman by Tristram Lewis including some of Denman’s hair which has been plaited into his mane.

Lot 8 A trip to the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown in 2019 with hospitality for 10 on Sunday, February 3rd plus a visit to the parade ring before the Unibet Irish Gold Cup.

Lot 9 Rare volume from Sir Peter O’Sullevan’s own collection, I Walked by Night. Original pencil sketches inside the cover by Norfolk artist Edward Seago, signed and dated 1939.

Lot 10 A once in a lifetime opportunity for a VIP visit for four to Coolmore Stud and Ballydoyle Stables. The visit includes lunch at Coolmore, overnight accommodation in Cashel and dinner at Mikey Ryans.
