THE September Storm gelding Longhouse Sale, trained by Dan Skelton for the yard’s Rio Gold Racing Club, recorded his second success over fences, and his ninth in total from 12 racecourse starts, when winning at Uttoxeter last Saturday.

The six-year-old faced only four rivals in the two-mile novices’ chase where, jumping well under the trainer’s brother Harry, he won comfortably by 12 lengths.

Longhouse Sale was bred near Loughbrickland by John Kidd out of the Dushyantor mare Sweetbriar Rose, an unraced half-sister to Line Ball (by Good Thyne).

This is the family of Mighty Mogul, Court Leader, Ballynagour, etc.

Co Down’s Eithne Hamilton bred two winners early this week, the first over jumps at Ballinrobe on Monday and the second on the flat at Lingfield the following evening.

The James Nash-trained Little Brother, who landed the opening three-year-old maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe in the hands of Kevin Brouder, won once in nine starts on the flat.

The bay gelding by Gale Force Ten is the fourth of five recorded produce out of the Thunder Gulch mare Sir Cecil’s Girl who has bred two other winners.
