Brideswell Lad

(S. Neville)

Leopardstown, March 7th

He struggled to make an impression on his two point-to-point starts and he was well beaten in a Thurles bumper on his racecourse debut in January. However, he showed a great deal more to be beaten less than 10 lengths into fourth by Max Flamingo in a maiden hurdle last Sunday.

A repeat of this effort should enable him to make his mark at some point in the coming months.

Moonlit Wings

(T. James)

Leopardstown, March 7th

She was beaten a long way in a Grade 2 mares’ bumper at this track last month on her return from a year and a half off but offered a much better guide to her abilities when crossing the line in fourth in the mares’ maiden hurdle won by Royal Illusion.

Moonlit Wings was then demoted to fifth in the stewards’ room but that does not detract from what was a promising effort which points to her ability to win races over the coming months.

Brides Hill

(G. Cromwell)

Leopardstown, March 7th

This four-year-old made quite an encouraging start to life in handicaps when she was sixth in a two-mile event won by Fox Fearless on Monday.

She finished well to be beaten less than six lengths and showed enough to indicate that a handicap success could be within her reach before too long.

Duncreevan

(M. Maguire)

Leopardstown, March 8th

He was returned a well backed 12/1 chance for the bumper won by Meet And Greet and produced a performance to match to be beaten by only two and a half lengths into third.

This represented a heartening effort on the part of this gelding and he can surely progress well off this initial outing.

Take All

(S. Fahey)

Wexford, March 10th

He isn’t the most original choice having already won this season and he was in the process of mounting a strong challenge for another success when falling at the last in a reasonable handicap hurdle on Wednesday.

He has a profile of steady and sustained progress and there could even be more to come from him before the end of the season. He certainly deserves to get his turn again in the coming weeks.
