Mount Everest

(A.P. O’Brien)

Leopardstown, September 14th

On his first outing since running Japan to a short head in last year’s Beresford Stakes this colt ran a race of distinct promise to be beaten just over a length and a half into fourth in a Group 3 won by Norway last weekend. He should progress substantially from this and could easily win a good race before the end of the season.

Bold Approach

(J.S. Bolger)

Curragh, September 15th

This colt has been restricted to just two outings since finishing second in last season’s Tyros Stakes and he was coming back from a near four month break when chasing home One Cool Poet in a 10 furlongs handicap. This was an encouraging effort and he can surely progress further before the end of the season.

Zander

(G.M. Lyons)

Galway, September 18th

A winner of a two-year-old maiden at last year’s Galway Festival he produced his best effort of the season when chasing home Bashiyr in a rated race at Ballybrit on Tuesday. The soft to heavy ground was the slowest that he had encountered all season and with this in mind he might well be placed to advantage before the end of the season.

Allez Allez Allez

(Mrs. J. Harrington)

Naas, September 19th

This Invincible Spirit filly had a heartening start to her career when chasing home Deidra in a six furlongs fillies maiden. She looked as though she could improve a good deal as a result of this outing and a maiden success should be well within her reach this autumn.

Convincer

(G.M. Lyons)

Naas, September 19th

He struggled in a couple of smart maidens last month but in first time blinkers he produced quite an encouraging effort on his handicap debut to take fifth in a competitive nursery won by Luke Short. He also shaped better than the final result and looks a likely winner in this grade before the end of the season.
