Majeski Man

(Mrs D. Foster)

Galway, August 4th

He was sent off at 50/1 for his debut at Galway on Sunday and ran a race of considerable promise as he finished strongly from off the pace to take sixth behind Raven’s Cry. He will surely progress well from this initial outing and could play a leading role if tackling a similar event in the next few weeks.

Gatwick Kitten

(D.K. Weld)

Galway, August 3rd

This son of Kitten’s Joy ran creditably on his debut to be beaten just under three lengths into third by Emperor Of The Sun in a Galway maiden last Saturday. Unlike the first two home this colt lacked the advantage of a previous run but he shaped up quite nicely and a maiden success could come his way this autumn.

King Pellinor

(A.P. O’Brien)

Galway, August 3rd

On his handicap debut this colt could only finish 10th behind One Cool Poet on Saturday but he ran a good deal better than his position would suggest as he got no run whatsoever in the straight and he would have finished a good deal closer with a smoother passage. He remains an interesting prospect for similar contests in the coming weeks.

Lily Lily Rose

(A. Howard)

Naas, August 5th

On her second handicap outing and her first run for almost two months this three-year-old ran well to be beaten less than two lengths into fourth by She’s My Dream in a sprint handicap at Naas on Sunday. If she was drawn closer to the pace she could easily have done better than fourth and she looks quite capable of making her mark in the near future.

Global Freedom

(G. Elliott)

Roscommon, August 6th

This gelding didn’t show much on the flat in Britain but his jumping debut in the first three-year-old hurdle of the season at Roscommon on Tuesday was more encouraging. He was only beaten four and a half lengths into third having jumped particularly well and this experience will make him hard to beat in the coming weeks.
