THE crowds flocked to Summerhill, Gordon Elliott’s home village in Co Meath last Sunday to welcome home andox Grand National hero Tiger Roll after his second win in the great chase at Aintree.

Tiger Roll, fresh and well after his big victory, arrived in a box accompanied by grooms Louise Magee and Karen Morgan and was greeted by his owner Michael O’Leary with his family before parading through the village as the crowds and media crews closed in to see Ireland’s most popular horse.

4:40am I heard noise coming from the sitting room. I quietly peered in the door this is what I saw, 2 boys having tea & biscuits, happy out watching the Grand National. I couldn’t say a word only

join them. We are going to treasure these days for a

long time.
