12:25 IRISH STALLIONS FARMS EBF BEGINNERS CHASE 2M 4F

Gordon Elliott could well kick off his day on a winner courtesy of Noble Endeavour in this contest.

The six-year-old progressed into a 146-rated hurdler last season and has shaped well in both his starts over fences, most recently finishing third to the high-class Monksland at Gowran Park.

He is unlikely to need to improve to win this. His most interesting rival is perhaps the Jim Dreaper-trained Venitien De Mai, with the six-year-old being in the process of running a fine race on his chasing debut at Thurles last month only to fall at the last fence.

SELECTION: NOBLE ENDEAVOUR

Next best: Venitien De Mai

1:00 ADAM & ANN ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL HANDICAP CHASE (0-102) 2M 4F

Solid recent form is in short supply in this contest and as a result, the Paul Stafford-trained Moonlone Lane stands out. The eight-year-old is in the form of his life at present, belatedly getting off the mark in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse prior to following up in a handicap hurdle at Musselburgh. He still looks well treated over fences and is the one to beat in this. Of his opposition, the Jim Lambe-trained Cinger Rua has been running well of late and looks to have solid prospects.

SELECTION: MOONLONE LANE

Next best: Cinder Rua

1:30 SILKS @DOWNROYAL HUNTERS CHASE 2M 6F

No shortage of familiar names here and the Colm McBratney-trained Marito stands out.

The nine-year-old was rated as high as 153 over fences as recently as last season and with him having won his last two starts in point-to-points in good style, he will be tough to beat on his return to the track. The main danger to him could well come from the Paul Nolan-trained Noble Prince, with the former Cheltenham Festival winner having adapted well to the hunter chase scene, finishing a close second to On The Fringe at the Punchestown Festival last season.

SELECTION: MARITO

2:00 I.N.H. STALLION OWNERS EBF MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 4F

Preference is given to those with hurdling form in the book and the one that makes the most appeal is the Gordon Elliott-trained Westend Star.

The six-year-old ran well in a better race than this at Navan last time and could well take advantage of this drop in class. Of the newcomers to hurdling, the Brian Hamilton-trained Illuminati won a bumper at Navan in January and warrants respect on his hurdling debut.

SELECTION: WESTEND STAR

Next best: Illuminati

2:30 DARK HORSE WINE BAR MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Noel Meade could well have the answer to this big-field maiden hurdle in the shape of Bel Ami De Sivola. The four-year-old ran well when fancied in a valuable sale’s bumper at Fairyhouse in April and made an encouraging hurdling debut at Cork in November. He seems sure to improve from that and will be tough to beat. The pick of his rivals looks to be the Tony Martin-trained Lip Service following his encouraging hurdling debut at Fairyhouse last time.

SELECTION: BEL AMI DE SIVOLA

Next best: Lip Service

3:00 MARTINSTOWN OPPORTUNITY HANDICAP HURDLE (80-102) 2M

Competitive fare and it may be worth taking a chance on the Fran Flood-trained Balkinstown.

The five-year-old has been acquitting himself well in similar contests of late and with conditions to suit, he could well make a bold bid to belatedly get off the mark over hurdles. The main danger to him could be the Mark McNiff-trained Mystic Princess who can be forgiven a poor run last time and comes into calculations on her previous efforts over hurdles.

SELECTION: BALKINSTOWN

Next best: Mystic Princess

3:30 BET WITH THE TOTE (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M

The Dermot McLoughlin-trained Avellino may have sent off at 33/1 on her debut at Fairyhouse, but she ran a race full of promise to finish second to the well-fancied Lucky Pass.

The pair were well clear of the third and with Avellino showing distinct signs of greenness, hopes will be high that she can improve from that effort and win this contest. Gordon Elliott could well saddle the main danger to her in Annihilate who shaped well on his debut in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown last month.

SELECTION: AVELLINO

Next best: Annihilate
